VEGETABLE GLYCERINE

vegetable glycerine
Glycerine is a colourless, sweet, viscous liquid derived from vegetable fats. It is a by-product of the soap-making process, which separates the glycerine from the fatty acids in the whole oil. In this case, the glycerine is extracted from non-palm sources. Glycerine is also a humectant or water binding additive that performs a number of functions, including increasing the solubility of some actives ingredients, acting as a moisture reservoir to prevent a product from drying out, and as a skin conditioning agent.
